When checking out the photos of the 1:350 scale model of the battleship “SLAVA” by Zvezda, the attention to detail is what catches my eye first. The paintwork looks great, and it’s clean, which is impressive for a ship model of this scale. There’s a certain crispness, especially around the panel lines and deck fittings. It’s obvious that Vxodnoi put a lot of care into making sure everything is just right, and that’s not always easy to pull off.
In terms of history, the real “SLAVA” had quite the dramatic life. Known as the Hero of Moonzund, she played a significant role during the chaotic times of 1917. From what I remember, the battleship was part of the Baltic Fleet and saw action in World War I. Her story reflects the turbulence of the era, shifting from engagements with other fleets to eventually succumbing to the revolution’s wave.
This model stands out due to its historical context and the builder’s precision. It’s more than just a display piece; it’s a window into a fascinating period. For fans of naval history and model enthusiasts alike, it’s definitely a project that deserves a closer look.
