Taking a closer look at Pavel Kedrov’s assembly of the HMS “Revenge” version 2.0 by Zvezda in 1:350 scale, the thing that strikes me immediately is the clean finish he’s achieved. There’s real precision in his work; no stray paint marks or sloppy lines. Everything feels like it sits just right, almost like you could imagine it sailing through the waves for real.
Now, just a little detour into history. The HMS “Revenge” was one of those iconic ships that sailed during the late 16th century. It’s fascinating to think about this ship’s involvement in the Anglo-Spanish War, particularly at the Battle of Flores. She really became something of a national legend back in the day – small but mighty, packed with character.
Back to this model though, what makes it stand out isn’t just the neatness. It’s that classic charm it embodies. Pavel’s careful paintwork and attention to detail help bring history to our tables, reminding us of the age of sail and those epic sea battles. Definitely a gem in any collection for anyone passionate about historical naval models.
