Taking a closer look at this BA-10 model in 1:35 scale by Zvezda, what immediately catches my eye is the weathering. Georgiy Fazleev has done a superb job with it, giving this model a rugged and battle-worn appearance. The dirt and scuff marks show an impressive attention to detail and make you feel as if you’re looking at the real vehicle after a hard day on the front lines.
Now, something I found quite interesting about the BA-10: this armored car was extensively used by the Soviet Union before and during World War II. It’s fascinating to know that it was designed to provide mobility and some level of protection, combining the speed of a car with the armor of a tank. It had a knack for navigating tricky terrain, thanks to its six-wheel drive.
What makes this model particularly captivating is how it captures the historical essence of the BA-10. Georgiy has managed to translate that ruggedness into the model, making it more than just a replica—it’s like a tiny slice of history. The meticulous weathering adds so much to this piece, giving it a life-like quality that’s hard to ignore.
