The first thing that grabbed my attention was the neat paint job on this 1:35 scale Saladin Mk.2 model by Dmitriy. Dragon’s kit is known for its quality, and Dmitriy didn’t disappoint. The way the green tones blend subtly over the structure really brings out the authentic military feel. The decals look sharp and carefully placed, adding to the model’s realistic presentation without any over-the-top wear and tear. It’s clear a lot of care went into making this look just right.

Now, a cool nugget about the real Saladin Mk.2. This armored car was quite popular for its versatility and reliability during its service time. Designed for reconnaissance, it found its place in more than just the British Army — even becoming a favorite for ceremonial roles due to its stylish and effective design. From what I’ve learned, it had a decent running streak through quite a number of countries, proving its worth beyond combat.

All in all, Dmitriy’s rendition of the Saladin Mk.2 is wonderfully executed. The clean build, precise details, and paintwork make this model a standout. It’s a perfect example of how a model can reflect the charm and character of the real machine.
