I’m really excited to share my thoughts on the PzKpfw VI “Tiger” model in 1:35 scale by Dragon. This is a must-have for both model enthusiasts and history buffs. Why, you ask? Well, the iconic Tiger tank has always played a massive part in WWII history, being a powerhouse on the battlefield. There’s something inherently appealing about recreating such a legendary piece of machinery in miniature form.

Taking a look at Igor Artemichev’s build, one thing that immediately stands out is the meticulous weathering technique. The model has that rugged, battle-worn look that some might miss in pristine builds. The rust and dirt add a layer of authenticity, making it appear as if it’s just rolled off a muddy battlefield.

Now, a little history for those interested. The Tiger I, introduced in 1942, was a beast on the European front. It had an 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun that was famed for its power and accuracy. Despite its fearsome reputation, the Tiger was known for mechanical issues. Yet, it left a mark as a symbol of armored might.

For anyone interested in building this model, it’s a rewarding journey. You’ll not only gain a deeper appreciation for military engineering but also indulge in the creative process of bringing history to your display shelf. It’s projects like these that blend patience, skill, and a true passion for history.
