The first thing that catches the eye in this 1:72 scale model of the Mi-28 by Zvezda is the impressive attention to detail in the weathering. Anton Zganyayko has really done a great job of making the helicopter look lived-in, without going overboard. The subtle wear on the rotor blades and the slight discoloration in the paint overall suggest it’s been through numerous sorties, and this adds a level of authenticity that’s hard to achieve.
Speaking of authenticity, the Mi-28, known as the “Havoc” to NATO, has an intriguing history.
