Peering at these photos of Igor Emashev’s Ka-52 in 1:72 scale from Zvezda, you can’t help but notice the impressive weathering. It gives the model a realistic, lived-in look, like it’s just spent a few hours skimming treetops on a mission. The subtle grime around the edges and the cleverly added scuffs make it stand out.

A cool tidbit about the real Ka-52, affectionately dubbed the “Alligator,” is its coaxial rotors. From what I’ve read, this design gives it superb agility and allows it to make maneuvers that are near impossible for other helicopters.
