Looking at Viktor Klochkov’s build of the MiG-21 SM, the first thing that really stands out is the incredible weathering on the model. It adds such a realistic layer, almost like it’s been flying missions right off the desk. The subtle streaks and paint chipping are impressive and give the impression of a workhorse that’s seen plenty of action. The weathering adds a nice touch and truly enhances the model’s authenticity.
Now, about the MiG-21 itself—this aircraft has some cool history. From what I’ve read, it was one of the most produced jet fighters in history and used by over 60 countries! It became a staple of many air forces for its versatility and agility, often affectionately called the “Flying Fishbed.” Hard to believe one machine could capture so much global attention, right?
This particular model by Trumpeter in 1:35 scale really deserves attention. Viktor has brought out the character of the MiG-21 with his meticulous skills. The model’s complexity is part of what makes it intriguing to both build and display. Whether you’re into military history or just enjoy a beautifully crafted piece of art, this model is definitely worth a look.
