When I first laid eyes on Aleksandr Belikov’s build of the Dewoitine D.520, the paint job really stood out. The camouflage pattern looks really sharp, and the subtle blending of the colors adds a lot of depth to the model. You can almost imagine the play of light on the real plane as it zoomed through the skies. The decals are applied with precision, melting into the surface as if they were always part of the paintwork. I’d say the finish captures a sense of history and authenticity, pulling you right into the era this aircraft belonged to.

Speaking of history, the Dewoitine D.520 has a pretty interesting backstory. It was one of the main French fighters at the beginning of World War II. Known for its maneuverability, it gave quite a few enemy pilots a run for their money. It might not have been the fastest, but it found its niche as an effective interceptor with its excellent handling capabilities. Imagine flying one of these in the thick of an intense dogfight over Europe!

Overall, this model by Tamiya is a fantastic piece for any aviation enthusiast. Its craftsmanship and historical charm make it a must-see. The attention to detail and the historical significance of the Dewoitine D.520 make this build something truly worth admiring.
