The first thing that stands out from the photos of this P-38L model is the immaculate paintwork. It’s so clean and crisp that it almost feels like a fresh-off-the-factory-line airplane. A fascinating tidbit about the P-38 Lightning, like our model here, is that it was one of the few World War II aircraft with a tricycle landing gear, which was pretty advanced back then. Pilots loved it for its speed and firepower, making it a favorite among ace pilots. Just imagining this bird in action with its sleek design is enough to whisk you back in time.
