I’ve been diving into some fantastic model kits lately, and Viktor Klochkov’s build of the Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario at 1:35 scale really caught my eye. One thing I noticed right away from the photos is the immaculate paintwork. It’s so clean and precise that it almost feels like the real deal could take off right off the shelf. The colors are spot-on, capturing the authentic feel of the aircraft.

Now, here’s a little nugget of history about the Re.2005. This aircraft was among the last Italian fighters in WWII and was sometimes referred to as the “Italian Spitfire” due to its agility and sleek design. Though not produced in large numbers, it left a mark with its high performance and beautiful design—a real underdog story, if you ask me.

What makes this model particularly interesting is how it embodies the spirit of its real-life counterpart. The attention to detail and the way it’s been assembled brings out the essence of the Sagittario. It’s like having a piece of history right on your workbench, reminding us of an era where design and function were pushed to their limits. This model is definitely worth checking out for anyone passionate about aviation history and model building.
