Just looking at the model of the FW-190A-4, you can’t help but notice the fantastic weathering it has. It’s got that worn look as if it’s just returned from a mission. Dmitriy really nailed the subtlety here, with the right blend of fading and wear on the paint that adds an authentic vibe without being overdone.
You know, thinking about the FW-190 itself, it played quite an interesting role during WWII. From what I gather, it was known as the “Butcher Bird” by those who faced it in battle. The FW-190 was loved by its pilots for its power and agility, often surprising Allied forces with its performance. The A-4 model had improvements like better armor and enhanced gun capabilities which made it a formidable opponent in the skies.
Anyway, back to the model — I have to say, the attention to detail is what’s making it stand out. From the panel lines to the landing gear, everything looks thoughtfully assembled. For anyone interested in WWII aviation, Dmitriy’s model not only brings history to the present but also makes it engaging to explore. It’s a real treat for the eyes, and one of those pieces you’d want to keep coming back to.
