Taking a glance at Andrey Kapustin’s Su-30MK model from Alanger, right away, the paintwork stands out. The camo pattern is really well done, and it captures the feel of the real aircraft quite nicely. It’s clear that a lot of care went into maintaining the lines and making sure the colors blend just right, which isn’t easy on smaller scales like 1:72. It looks very clean, which I find brings out the elegance of the Su-30’s design.

On a side note, the Su-30MK itself has an interesting history. Originating from the Sukhoi Su-27 family, it’s often celebrated for its maneuverability and has been a staple in various air forces around the world. One fun fact is that this aircraft is widely appreciated for its supermaneuverability and thrust-vectoring engines, giving it that distinctive edge in dogfights.

In the end, what makes this model deserve a closer look is the combination of an iconic aircraft with a model that captures its essence. The effort put into the details and the paint adds a level of realism that makes it appealing to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers. It’s the kind of model that you can admire for a while, pondering both its miniature craftsmanship and its real-world counterpart’s feats.
